  • Simulation Overview:  Each of the simulations allows you to practice the skills learned in the instructional content. You will enter realistic scenarios in which you will interact with a variety of individuals. By using the knowledge you have gained, you control the outcome of each simulation.

Unit 2: Understanding Difficult People
Duration: 0.5 - 1 Hour(s)

  • Assess a difficult person's situation.
  • Identify how each difficult personality type is detrimental to an organization.
  • Address different difficult personality types.
  • Understand the need for monitoring a difficult person.
  • Document a difficult person's behavior.
  • Simulation Overview:  In this simulation, you will be meeting with several of your marketing department's team members to address their difficult personalities. Their attitudes are affecting other employees in the department, as well as the organization's overall productivity. You need to assess the situation and work with the team members to find a solution.

Unit 3: Communicating with Difficult People
Duration: 0.5 - 1 Hour(s)

  • Communicate clearly with a difficult person.
  • Identify communication barriers.
  • Use non-verbal aspects of communication effectively.
  • Understand how emotions can be detrimental to communication.
  • Listen effectively to a difficult person.
  • Simulation Overview:  In this simulation, you will be meeting with two employees on your marketing team that have conflicting personality types. Your goal is to identify why important deadlines are being missed. You will also need to address each employee individually in order to explain how their personality is detrimental to the department.

Unit 4: Working with Difficult People
Duration: 0.5 - 1 Hour(s)

  • Recognize when to dismiss a difficult person .
  • Work effectively with difficult supervisors and co-workers.
  • Be proactive toward managing difficult people.
  • Prevent individuals from becoming difficult.
  • Simulation Overview:  In this simulation, you will be addressing a difficult co-worker who is the manager of a different marketing department in your organization. The two of you will meet with two employees to discuss why the promotional materials for a new product release are behind schedule. Your goal is to coordinate the different parts of the marketing plan for the new product.
