  • Simulation Overview: In this simulation, you will be meeting with Monica Washington, a newly-hired Account Executive in the Sales Department. You will need to discuss with her the various responsibilities of her position as they are outlined in her job description and establish a good foundation on which to base her performance plan.

Unit 2: Conducting a Performance Planning Meeting

  • Identify reasons why creating a performance plan is important.
  • Conduct a performance planning meeting using the nine-step process.

  • Simulation Overview: In this simulation, you will be meeting with Lance Helms, an Account Executive in the Sales Department at Icon International. Lance has recently been assigned to a new position as part of a reorganization of the department and is not happy with his new responsibilities. You will need to establish a performance plan for Lance while keeping the overall goals of the organization in mind.

  • Simulation Overview: In this simulation, you will be meeting with Marcus D'Angelo, one of Icon International's senior Account Executives. Marcus recently acquired a very important account, but it has also come to your attention that Marcus's attitude toward his co-workers has been causing some problems. You will need to provide both positive and constructive feedback and coach Marcus effectively to improve his performance.
