This Medical Coding Advanced course is designed to advance your knowledge and skills learned in the MedCertify Medical Coding Basic course.
You will learn how to code the most common services and diagnoses in 14 of the most common areas in the medical practices. The course length and complexity of each of the 14 areas are dependent upon
the complexity of coding in those areas.
For example the cardiovascular system is a long complicated section as there are very complex codes and many of the common cardiovascular
services are commonly provided in most outpatient settings, such as ECG and Holter monitor. There are many coding challenges in cardiology, such as coronary artery bypass graft, usually only through
repeated cases cant he coder gain understanding and confidence in the cardiology coding skills. This course will help you break those specialty codes down so you can more effectively and efficiently
code in each of the 14 areas of medicine. This course includes instructor video lectures, instructor presentations, quizzes, tests, worktext, and reference books including the exam preparation text for
the AHIMA and AAPC
