In Workplace Aggression: Recognizing Aggressive Behavior, participants will learn why workplace aggression is an important issue that they must be able to identify in their workplace. They will learn what sources
contribute to workplace aggression, as well as the three stages of aggressive behavior. Upon completing this program, participants will also be able to identify the nine profiles of aggressive employees and the
kinds of organizations that foster aggressive behavior.

- Fulfill your responsibility regarding workplace aggression.
- List the ways that workplace aggression can affect an organization.
- Recognize aggressive behavior that could turn violent.
- Simulation Overview: In this simulation, you will meet with Maxwell Carson, Icon's Director of Human Resources, to discuss workplace aggression. Maxwell will
provide you with information about why managers and employers should be concerned about workplace aggression, how aggression affects an organization,
and what actions you can take to recognize aggressive behavior.
Unit 2: Knowing the Sources of Aggression Duration: 0.5 - 1 Hour(s)
- Understand the societal sources of workplace aggression.
- List corporate sources that can lead to workplace aggression.
- Name the six managerial sources of workplace aggression.
- Explain the relationship between aggression experienced at home and at the workplace.
- Simulation Overview: In this simulation, you will meet with Carla Jackson, one of Icon's Human Resources Assistants, to discuss the sources of aggression.
Through your questions and Carla's answers, you will learn about societal, corporate, and managerial sources that lead to workplace aggression.
Unit 3: Understanding the MAD Stages for Business Duration: 0.5 - 1 Hour(s)
- Understand why it is important to recognize the MAD stages of aggression.
- Apply the MAD acronym to recognize stages of workplace aggression.
- List the behaviors that are characteristic of the mild aggression stage.
- List the behaviors that are characteristic of the advanced aggression stage.

- Simulation Overview: In this simulation, you will meet with John Cunningham, one of Icon's Human Resources Assistants. Through your questions and John's
answers, you will discuss the mild, advanced, and demonstrated stages of aggression. Understanding these stages will enable you to better identify and manage individuals who display these forms of aggression.
Unit 4: Identifying Common Aggressive Profiles Duration: 0.5 - 1 Hour(s)
- Differentiate among the nine common profiles of aggressive employees.
- Avoid displaying an organizational profile that fosters aggressive behavior.
- Simulation Overview: In this simulation, you will meet with Sue Bogner, one of Icon's Human Resources Assistants. Sue has come to your office to test your
knowledge of identifying common aggressive profiles. You need to determine the correct answer for each example Sue provides.
